Bachelor's in Anthropology honors

Participants usually beginning planning for their honors thesis in the second semester of their junior year and first semester of their senior year. 

Requirements for graduating with departmental honors

To graduate with departmental honors, students must:

• Maintain 3.25 grade-point average overall and a 3.5 grade-point average in anthropology courses.
• File a declaration of intent form with the instructor with whom they choose to work.
• Enroll in a minimum of 3 credits (maximum of 6 credits) of ANTH 499 (senior honors research) in the fall or spring semester of their senior year.
• Complete ANTH 499, including individual research and a paper, under the direction of an instructor.
