Field trip course in Ancient People & Environments of the Colorado Plateau

August 5-20, 2026

ANTH 311: Archaeology Roadshow; KU tuition; field trip fee ($750).

Field trip fee covers camping/entrance fees and vehicle rentals. The KU Anthropology Department provides tents and group camping gear. Students bring sleeping bag/pad and personal gear.

Field trip course in Ancient Environments and People of the Colorado Plateau and includes Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Arches National Parks. Students will learn skills in paleoenvironmental and archaeological science while visiting sites in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah.
