Biography

My research brings together collaborative ethnography, digital humanities, museum studies, and applied anthropology in Iximulew, Mesoamerica. My current project builds a digital platform for Maya Kaqchikel people from Pasu’m to share their perspectives on local history. I collaborate with research consultants and mentors to digitize, catalog, analyze, and return photographs and archival documents that speak to this town’s recent history. My hope is that Indigenous people will use this resource to remember their relatives, investigate their own past, educate the younger generation, and exercise their cultural rights.
